Many thanks to the Ismaili community for their kind donation of 1000 face masks.
The donation was made during Operation Shield - Southwark. London Search and Rescue have been assisting the Council by carrying out doorstep welfare checks on residents who are on the central government shielded list but whom the council has been unable to contact.
Southwark Council, local NHS, GP surgeries, charities and community and volunteer groups joined forces to support the people of Southwark during the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.
The face masks will help the team with similar work and also in their role of assisting the Police in the search for vulnerable missing people within London.
